Distribution
of the Evaluation Edition
You may
copy the Evaluation Edition of this software and documentation as you wish, and
give exact copies of the original Evaluation Edition to anyone, and distribute
the Evaluation Edition of the software and documentation in its unmodified form
via electronic means. But you should not charge or request donations for any
such copies however made, or from distributing the software and/or
documentation with other products without the author's written permission.
Registered
Edition
One
registered copy of Shareware Tracker may either be used by a single person who
uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single
workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple people, but not both. You may
access the registered edition of Shareware Tracker through a network, provided
that you have obtained individual licenses for the software covering all
workstations that will access the software through the network.
You
should have received a license key which is necessary to enable the registered
edition of the software. This code must be kept in the strictest confidence and
must not be given or revealed to anyone but the registered owner. Installation
files for licensed users also may not be distributed by you to anyone else. Failure to abide by these provisions may
result in severe legal penalties and will result in revocation of the license
which will cause the program to no longer work.
Various
licensing plans are offered, as follows:
Permanent
License
A permanent license
entitles the holder to use the program forever - such license keys will never
expire. The initial purchase price
includes all program and database updates for a period of one year following
the initial purchase date. In order to
receive program and database updates after the first year it is necessary to
pay a renewable annual maintenance fee of $49.00 (subject to change - see http://www.accusolve.biz/stprice.html
for the latest posted price). By paying
the annual maintenance fee the license holder is entitled to receive all
program and database updates for another year.
As long as the permanent license holder is current with their annual
maintenance fees, there will be no charges for version upgrades or anything
else related to the program.
The annual maintenance fees
for the second and subsequent years are optional. A permanent license holder
may continue to use the program forever even if the maintenance agreement is
not extended, however, they are not entitled to any program or database updates
unless the maintenance is in effect.
If the maintenance is
renewed either before, or within 30 days after, the renewal date, the new
renewal date will be exactly one year from the renewal date. If it is renewed
more than 30 days after the renewal date, the new renewal date will be one year
from the renewal payment date. This
policy protects the license holder from having to pay retroactively for
unearned maintenance for more than 30 days.
Temporary
License
There are
short-term license plans available which allow a user to purchase a lower cost
license for temporary use. Such licenses
do not automatically renew – they expire as soon as the agreed-to period of
time has elapsed. When a temporary
license key expires, the user can still run the program and access their data,
however, no searches or submissions can be performed.
Throughout
the term of the license the holder is entitled to all program and database
updates that are made available within that term, at no extra cost.
After a
temporary license has expired, the only way to be able to perform searches and
submissions, or to receive program and database updates is to purchase another
temporary license, or a permanent one.
No credit is given toward a permanent license for any unused portion of
a temporary license.
See the
AccuSolve web site (http://www.accusolve.biz/stprice.html)
for a description of the various temporary licenses available, along with their
respective prices.
